If you’re unfortunate enough to suffer from a gambling addiction, don’t despair. There are some things you can do to help overcome your problem with gambling.
1. Recognize your addiction
As with any compulsive behavior, recognizing it is the first step to recovery. There’s always the temptation to put a few extra dollars on a bet with the idea of winning and therefore being able to pay your regular debts. Resisting that temptation isn’t easy either. So pay your bills on receipt, so the money is no longer in your account.
